Mark Two

Industrial Strength Printer

The revolutionary Mark Two 3D printer from Markforged is the only 3D printer that can print with Carbon fiber, Fiberglass and Kevlar. When Mark One was introduced a few years ago, it was the only machine capable of printing reinforced composite parts with continuous fiber.  Mark Two, the second generation 3D printer from Markforged promises to do that and much more.

The Mark Two printer uses the fused filament technology (FFF) and can produce a highest layer resolution of 100 microns. The printer has dual print heads and can print reinforced objects with two different filaments at the same time. Users can print CNC quality parts that are about 30 times stronger and stiffer than regular ABS filament.

Product Features

High-strength Printing

The printer prints parts that are strong and resilient; industrial grade prints that are reinforced with composite fiber. The ability to print with extra-hard materials like Kevlar and fiberglass makes it perfectly suited for printing reinforced parts that have fantastic strength to cost ratio

Easy To Use

The printer comes with access to Eiger, a browser-based software, with which the user can optimise the strength of the printed part

Double Print Nozzle

The 3D printer prints using the CFF (Composite Filament Fabrication) technology where the printer has two print nozzles: one prints with engineering grade nylon and the other with fiberglass or carbon fiber, resulting in reinforced prints with extraordinary strength

Range of Materials

This 3D printer can print using a range of different materials such as carbon fiber, fiberglass, Kevlar and high temperature fiberglass

Key Benefits & Applications

The Mark Two is perfect for printing industrial grade parts that are strong and resilient. A remarkably fast printer, it is the only printer that enables you to go from CAD to print in just a few hours. The parts are up to 20 times stiffer and five times stronger than similar parts 3D printed using ABS plastic.

The applications of this printer are infinite. The reinforced prints can be as strong as 6061-T6 aluminium by weight. These industrial strength parts can be used not just for rapid prototyping but for end-use parts in a wide range of industries such as aerospace, automotive, biotechnology, healthcare and so on. Its affordable price makes it more accessible and great value for money.

Industrial Strength 3D Printing in Singapore

Singapore has been seeing a renewed interest in the additive manufacturing in the recent past.  3D Printers that can produce reliable end-use parts are very relevant here since they provide an option to manufacture digitally and compactly in urban factories.  In countries like Singapore where labour costs and space constraints stem the growth of traditional manufacturing industry, such printing machines can bring tremendous value.

Setup of Industrial 3d printing service bureaus such as ST Dynamics Additive manufacturing Centre and commercial 3D printing facilities like Ultra Clean Asia Pacific (UCT) bear testimony to this upcoming trends in 3D printing in Singapore.

3D Bots brings to the south-east asian regions low cost, and technologically advanced 3D printers such as the Mark Two.  This printer has tremendous scope especially in the aerospace and automotive industries in Singapore.
